Other than parenting, nothing is more important to the well-being of a child than education.
So, in this day of standardized tests and competition for college admissions, how does a parent decide where to get an education for their child? How does a parent chose the best school for their kid?
The answer is probably different for every parent, and that's because all kids are different and they all have different needs. And because Bemidji has several high schools to choose from, parents and students are in a unique and powerful position to choose the school that best fits the needs and goals of their child. At TrekNorth we believe that Bemidji-area students and parents should choose a school that fits the needs and goals for the student. Here are some good questions to ponder:
- Do I expect my child to go to a 4-year college?
- What size of classes will allow my student to thrive academically?
- Do I expect my child to develop basic study skills, such as note-taking, vocabulary, time management, and positive thinking?
- How do I measure the success of a school?
- Do I want my student to be taught by teachers who are experts in their
content area, but also friendly, personable, and willing to build
formative relationships with kids?
- Do I want my child to have access to the highest-level, most rigorous
courses available to junior high and high school students?
After pondering these questions, you may very well arrive at the decision that TrekNorth would be the best school for you or your child. If that's the case, please contact the school to set up your enrollment meeting!
