Hello, my name is Maria Bernabe-Bjorkund. I am originally from Peru, South America. I have two beautiful children, Angie and Richie. I obtained my Bachelor's and Master's degree from St. Cloud State University.
Teaching Spanish is wonderful for me because I can talk in my native language and, also, I can share about my culture with my students and colleagues. Since my graduation in 1998, I have been teaching Spanish and culture and enjoying every moment of it. Also, I have been tutoring people and professionals going overseas. This year we moved from Monticello to the beautiful city of Bemidji. I am a Spanish Instructor at TrekNorth High School, it is my first year and I find myself enjoying the small and friendly warm environment there. I love to travel, listen to music and dance specially in my birthday! A tip for you: Don't count your birthdays, just CELEBRATE them!
