Growing up in International Falls, Minnesota, I developed
a passion for music and performing at a very early age. My
passion continued to blossom as I was inspired by countless
family members, educators, and performers who encouraged
me and gave me the tools that were necessary for me to be
an accomplished musician.
My love for music excited me so much that I began teaching
my friends things that I had learned in my private music lessons
or in dance class. This ignited another spark inside of me,
the passion of teaching. At that point, I knew I wanted to
be a music teacher.
I attended Bemidji State University where I recieved a degree
in K-12 music education with an emphasis in vocal and classroom
music. I continued to take music, dance and theatre classes
throughout college and developed a greater understanding and
love of performing.
I am thrilled to be a part of the TrekNorth community where
I can share my passions of performing and teaching with students
who already exhibit a passion for performing or who are entering
into an unknown world in which they want a taste of. It takes
desire, discipline and dedication to make a strong performing
artisit and it is a wonderful experience seeing students grow
in their journey.
“Don’t let anything stop you. There will be times
when you’ll be disappointed, but you can’t stop.
Make yourself the very best that you can make of what you are.
The very best.” - Sadie T. Alexander
