Originally
from New Ulm, Minnesota, I graduated from Bemidji State University
in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science degree in English Education.
After graduation, I taught seventh and ninth grade language
arts for the LeCenter School District in southern Minnesota.
During the summer of 2002, I created an experiential learning
curriculum and was the lead teacher for the United Refugee
Services of Wisconsin (URSW) summer school program in Madison,
Wisconsin. I moved back to Bemidji in 2003 to teach at TrekNorth.
At TrekNorth High
School, I teach Foundations of Literature, World Literature,
and Advanced Placement (AP) Language and Composition.
